Tonight is the Meet and Greet BBQ at the Braidwood servicemen's club from 5:30 till 7:30 pm. For further information please refer to the email sent on the 24 October or the hard copy.
Year 5 & 6 Camp is on next week from 9 - 11 Nov. Excursion permission notes and money is now due. Parents are asked pay by either ETFPOS or cash please donot use BPAY codes.
Tomorrow is the schools Touch & Netball carnival for all classes. Parents are most welcome to attend, and there will be a teachers/parents team vs Year 6, so pack your joggers. There will be lunch pack deal for $5.00 for the children - for further information please see the email or hard copy that when home yesterday.
Parents are reminded that the cut off time for changes to departure of an afternoon is 2:30 pm after this time it becomes increasingly difficult to get a message to your child.
We would love to be able to offer the children Canteen every Friday as we have done in the past. If you are interested in helping in canteen and have a couple of hours available on a Friday morning please contact Beck 0438 211 071.

The Community Council is advertising a vacant position of an elected parent representative.
We would like to take this opportunity to provide some further information on the Community Council (CC). The St Bede’s community council is made up of the Principal, Parish Priest/Brother, staff members, parent members, and if necessary, people appointed for their expertise. The role of the CC is to assist St Bede’s Primary School to fulfill its mission. The St Bede’s CC is a not-for-profit body and the member’s volunteer.
The Community Council functions include responsibility to take decisions in areas for St Bede’s including but not limited to:
supporting the development of the Catholic Identity, ethos and mission of the school
supporting pastoral care strategies in the school community
promotion of the school in the local community
developing and monitoring school enterprises, capital and maintenance programs
to provide student and parent services eg Canteen
to provide support for school programs for parents
to provide opportunities for parent social interaction and supportive networks
to raise money for resources.
The Council meets twice a term, generally a Wednesday evening in week 3 and 7 of term, this can be made up of virtual and in person meetings.
The criteria for membership for the council that members maintain themselves in spiritual growth, motivation, commitment and competence according to the values and traditions of the Catholic Faith, an understanding of local Church policies, a genuine desire to be of service to the school community, have necessary skills to contribute to the work of the council, ability to work collaboratively and constructively with other members, adequate time to give to the council and a willingness to act within the code of ethics for council members.
This vacant position will be advertised for Term 4 to the school community, all nominations will be kept confidential, and nominations will be decided by a vote by the Community Council members.
If you are interested or know of anyone who would be interested, we please encourage you to nominate to be a member of the St Bede’s Community Council.
